Things I Like - To Be Completed

I Love Cute Boys, and cute boys kissing are even better. You know what I like even more, cute boys kissing me! Not that this ever happens.

I also love my iPhone, without it I am pretty sure I would have died by now. I love getting my e-mail, text messaging, and the Apps. I am addicted.

I also love my American Express. It pays for everything!

Things I hate

-People who walk across the street without looking!! Seriously, I know I have to yield to pedestrians, but you need to at least look!
-People who start looking at their cell phone while they are walking across the street and slow down because of it! Screw you, I have places to be too!
-Girls who you never see without their cell phone in their hand. There is a girl that I have a class with and literally, I see her everyday of the week and everytime I ever see her, she is holding her phone. I went to a seminar that she was at one evening, the whole time, she had her phone in her hand! I mean really!
-Cops who do illegal things for no purpose. Now, let me be clear on this one, I have no problems with officers who speed, who turn on their lights to get through intersections, and who do other various things that you and I lay people would get tickets for. However, when they do something like change lanes in the middle of an intersection when no one is around, that is just blatantly retarded.
-Students who come into class when they have missed more than half of the class. JUST DON'T COME! In reality you look like a giant douche bag!
-People who mistreat my friends, in general. If you don't understand that one without explanation, please see me!
-Financially irresponsible individuals. 'Nough said.
-People who use abbreviations for everything. Seriously, when you have enough space to, spell it out. I understand abbreviations on twitter, they normally are only there because you only get 140 characters, but when you space you really should spell it out.
-People who say don't judge me. By this one I mean those who say it and kind of mean it, not like when my roommates do it. Honestly when you say "Don't judge me" to me, that means you have already done something that has already caused me to judge you. It is too late. You should probably just go away.

-Most of all, I hate hotel guest who think they are the only person I should be worried about! I mean really! We have hundreds of rooms (almost 1,000) and really we have more things to do that wipe your a** all day. Grow up, put the big girl panties on, and move on with your day. Your crying has no effect on me!

So that was all of the ranting for the day!

I bombed my macro test, FML.

Coming soon: A "Things I like" post, that one needs more thought though!

My Country

Yes, I am going to be conceited and say I come from the greatest country in the world. Now, I wanted to wait a couple days or weeks before I started getting into topics like this on my blog, however the time and opportunity has presented itself for me to make this statement and justify it.

There are a lot of things about this country that make it the greatest. The most important of which, at least to me, is that safety and security it provides to me for the simple fact that I am an American. I know that no matter where I go, whether it be Spain or Austrailia, Germany or The Netherlands, or in this specific case the Indian Ocean, that I am protected for the sole fact that I am an American.

Now I am not saying that I won't be in harms way, nor am I saying that I won't get hurt or even potentially killed, what I am saying is that I know that if I am in danger or in trouble, that my country will not stand back and let me be. They will do whatever they can to protect me and safely rescue me.

It is with that said, that I owe a great deal of gratitude and appreciation to those who serve in our military. Those who have chosen to put down their life before mine, so that I may live. Those that have chosen to protect the ideals and freedoms of our nation and those who have given up everything, so that Americans can live freely.

The reason I say all of this is because of the heroic rescue of Captain Richard Phillips of the Maersk Alabama. Having been taken captive by pirates, the track record show that he would most likely not make it out of the situation alive. The United States Navy intervened and did everything they could to protect Capt. Phillips and ensure that he made it home safely. They were obviously successful, with the order from President Obama to use lethal force if there was imminent danger, the Navy Seals were given the order to eliminate the pirates holding Capt. Phillips. With skill and accuracy that can be found no where else, the seals elminated the threat to Capt. Phillips and brought him onboard the USS Bainbridge, saving his life and preventing further distress.

There was another instance in which the Navy was crucial in saving the life of a 14 year old from Illinois. Her family was on a cruise 500 miles of the coast of Baja California. Unfortunately for the girl she suffered a ruptured appendix, something that can be fatal if not quickly treated. Having no way to treat her or get her off the ship, the ships captain put out a distress call, to which the USS Ronald Reagan responded. The immediately changed course and headed for the cruise ship, not having enough time to quickly get to the ship, they sent out a helicopter to recover the girl and her mother and bring them to the ship. Once onboard the girl was immediately taken into surgery where her appendix was removed and she recovered quickly. Without the intervention of the Navy in this case, the girl would most likely have died.

So it is with this that I say, my country is the GREATEST. And with that comes the fact that when people make statements like "We have decided to kill U.S. and French sailors if they happen to be among our future hostages." You better be damned assured that we, the United States of America, will kick your ass.

Opening Day

So it's opening day today, and by opening day I mean-The First Day of My Blog!

So for TFDMB we are going to have a little history. First you should know that I have blogged before, but my old blogs and I have since gone our separate ways and moved on to much different lives. I enjoy talking with my old blogs every now and then, but just for some reminiscing and some laughs, I enjoy seeing the difference between who I was then and who I am now.

Second, I live with 3 other people (really 4 but one of them is never here so I pretend like he doesn't live here). There are two girls D and L, and then there is a guy, A. I have lived with D and A for a while, since June of 2007. I have know D since I was 12...and I have known A since maybe 14 or 15. They are my BEST friends. Although we have very differing political opinions, and very rarely agree on everything, we can always agree to disagree. Don't get me wrong we have had our own problems with each other, but we always work through them. I love them.

We have three dogs, by we I mean D and A have 2 (F and M, yorkies) and L has 1 (R, chihuahua). I enjoy all three of them at times, almost always I enjoy F and M, however a majority of the time R is driving me crazy.

So a little about me to get you started. I am 21, a Senior at the University of Oklahoma. I am majoring in Management Information Systems and Economics. I really really really enjoy Economics but I am not sure what I would ever do with only that degree. I have 2 Brothers and an amazing Sister-in-law. I have two sets of parents, my mom and step-dad here in OKC and my dad and step-mom in New York/North Carolina. When I refer to my parents, I am referring to my mom and step-dad. My mom is my rock, she is always there for me on everything. I very rarely go to her for any of the deeper issues, however I know if I did she would be there all the way. My older brother has saved me many a time, he is without a doubt the best brother there is. My little brother, he is really too young to have played a major role in my life (he is 11 right now), however I do everything I can to be there and support him in everything he does. He plays soccer and is very bright. I am afraid that he got my brothers athletics and my intelligence. (Although my grades may not reflect it, I am normally fairly intelligent, I just don't find it in me to care about school)

I enjoy school most of the time. I am especially enjoy a class this semester with Dr. M, she is hilarious. I work full-time as a Supervisor at an undisclosed location. I have some direct reports and quite a few indirect reports. I enjoy my job most of the time, however there are other days when I leave work hating my job.

College has been one of the best experiences of my life, I have met some amazing people and hope to stay in touch with them forever.

What this will be:

Me expressing myself
Me talking about the things going on in my life
Me rambling

What this won't be:
